Dear Friends,
As I get older I have to accept whatever limitations that span of time places on me. As a result I count more on the Holy Spirit’s help than ever before. This “Advocate” that heaven has sent to help us is very creative. Solutions, answers, new ways to look at things and ways to do them flash into your mind. These are only a few gifts the Spirit will share with you. For many, since they were confirmed at an early age, have stored the gifts in a sort of “spiritual closet” of their soul. Well, it might be time to open that closet and use the special help the Spirit offers you. Pentecost reminds us not to forget you hold the key to that closet.
The Vietnam Dominican Sisters of Ct wish to thank everyone who supported their Bake Sale at St. John’s for the care of Lepers. They raised $800.00.
The communion breakfast on Sunday May 18th is for all the men of the parish who would want to attend. It all begins that morning at the 8AM Mass followed by a full breakfast at the St. John’s Gym with guest speaker Bill Gibbons the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Holy Cross College. Tickets are $5.00. The Knights of Columbus are sponsoring this. Bring yourself maybe your son or a friend, The church and the parish needs the witness of men. So here is the opportunity. It will be a good experience.
Peace,
