ABOUT US

Our Philosophy

The primary goal of our program is to provide children with a safe, stimulating, caring and nurturing environment where children can develop a positive self concept, have an opportunity to interact, play and develop relationships with peers, as well as staff and enjoy a positive early education and care experience.

We understand that children develop at different rates and thus tailor our program to nurture and challenge each child and meet his/her individual needs regarding, cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and moral development.

St. Mary Cares follows a developmental approach.  Developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) responds to the child's interest and needs.  DAP fosters a child's growth in all areas and allows him/her to develop at their own pace.  The social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs of the children will be addressed by providing them with developmentally learning experiences in language arts, music, fine and large motor, art, science, math and socialization individually and in small group settings.

Your child will enjoy a wide variety of opportunities to play, interact with peers, develop relationships and learn life-long skills. Our staff is dedicated professionals, focusing on your child's healthy growth in all areas.

ST. MARY CARES Center providing the seeds for learning.

When it comes to raising kids, it is often the simple things that are most important.

Everyday experiences, like planting a pumpkin seed or studying the leaves of an oak tree, can transform into valuable opportunities for learning.

We not only plant the seeds of knowledge through a diverse curriculum and many educational opportunities, we also help children learn to share, cooperate and communicate with each other.

We encourage children to recognize their environment and respect themselves and others.

These types of positive learning experiences can enrich your child's life and prepare him or her for more formal instruction during the primary school years.

We feel this philosophy sets us apart from the rest, but it's our teachers who really make the difference in your child's growth and development .
