As children enter Grade 2, they and their parents focus more deeply on the receipt of the two Sacraments of Initiation which follow Baptism, Reconciliation (also known as Penance and Confession), and Eucharist (Holy Communion). Parents’ involvement remains valuable and necessary. It is important that families attend Sunday (or Saturday Vigil) Mass. Children are scheduled to receive their first Reconciliaiton is April and their First Holy Communion in May. The materials used to help prepare the children and their families are highly recommended and published by the family of the Sadlier Brothers who immigrated from Ireland in the 19th Century.
Baptismal records must be on file in the Parish Office for every child in this program. If your child has not been baptized, please contact the Parish Office to schedule.
